The never ending schoolwork

I woke up quite late today, because I was really tired. But I also had things to do because I was the whole day away yesterday. After doing all my things I talked for a very long time with my best friend in Switzerland and we discussed many interesting things :)

In the meantime I also had some time to play the piano and I am sure that there will be a new Soundcloud track soon ;)

London #10

Today I met up with Arianna in London, but I arrived one and a half hours earlier so I went to St Pancras to eat breakfast. It was just lovely and really cheap! I think the best hot chocolate I had in the last months :)
After I picked Ari up at Victoria we went straight to the Natural History museum to see the dinosaurs. It was really crowded but we enjoyed it...
In the afternoon we went to Oxford street. It was already quite dark so I took another picture of the christmas-lights and I bought a christmas jumper for the jumper day we will have on the twelfth of December. Everyone has to wear a christmas jumper! It was a lovely day :D

I get misty...

This day it was extremely misty, even more than yesterday. I was sitting in school and it was pooring rain outside, then the fire alarm went of and we needed to run to the fields with all the others there. We have been waiting there for fifteen minutes until they told us that it was only a test. Now I have to clean my shoes in the afternoon!

Misty

Today it was really foggy and misty outside. That's why I went to take some nice pictures of cobwebs in the afternoon but I am going to upload them tomorrow...
We also had a "lovely" Sociology essay today :P

THE TEST

Now I finally have my two psychology test behind me and I could enjoy my afternoon playing the piano, doing some photograph work and making 3D mountain models :D

Christmas!

Today in the afternoon my host mum called me and my host brother to her. We had a mission: setting up the Christmas tree! But wait; isn't that a bit too early? But Caroline is in her Christmas-fever so all the protest of William did not help anything... So we duct taped it and put the lights on. Afterwards Beatrice decorated it :D
Well well, I am not the Christmas person, but I have to say that it looks nice ;)

Star Capturing

This day I really didn't do anything besides learning for the psychology test in two days. But in the afternoon I went to the cinema with my hostfamily to watch the new Hunger Games movie. It was just amazing and we had a great time :)
After that it was really dark and when we came home I thought: Oh, the stars are sooo shiny today, why not taking some more pictures? But it only ended up with one single picture that had a exposure time of more than half an hour!
Oh by the way! It is my 100'th day in the UK today!! PARTY TIME!

A long, long day...

Today I woke up at half past ten. That's actually quite early for a Saturday, because normally if I stay at home I do not even set an alarm clock... But today I needed to learn psychology again because we will have a second examen next week with our other teacher and I also wanted some free time in the afternoon.
In my free time later on I played quite a bit piano, because I did not have so much time the last week in school. I also started to mess around with Unity4 (for those who don't know: Unity is a cross-platform game creation system where you can make a lot of things from terrain to animations, textures, sounds. It also has a lot of plugins). I made some funny maps like a haunted snowy city or a beach with fireworks.
Later this evening my grandmother had her birthday in Switzerland so I FaceTimed my parents for quite a long time to talk to my family.

Swim Swam & Photography

This das I was really exhausted from learning, so I focussed on completing my photography work and playing the piano. At twelve o'clock I went swimming again like every friday but the old women was not there anymore :/  =  no more races...
In the afternoon I threw myself on playing the piano again and I recorded some stuff but unfortunately I could not uploaf it today. Maybe tomorrow ;)

Done wifh psychology

Finally the psychology learning is over! In the last couple days I did not have any time to do any leisure activities like playing the piano or reading, but now I can do this again :)
But tomorrow we also have to show the photography teacher our progress so I had to continue doing that...

Psychology all over the place

This day I did nothing else then studying for the psychology test we will have tomorrow. So it was a huge amount of paper in my room, on the bed and desk!
My english friends told me that it is really hard for them to learn all the things, because the test is over everything we had until now and that's quite a lot. So for me it is way more difficult because it is so many new words I have just never heard of before and I have to learn them as well!
But I really enjoy the subject, it is so interesting and the teacher is very good :D

How nanny won the car race...

This day I was fighting! The wheels were running quick and my nose was running from the strong wind blowing in my face, the smell of the warm road in my nose I was drifting around the corner and then. Who turned up behind me? Was it nanny? She rammed me in the side and then drove past me. In the end I did not have any chance against her and she won the race. We both put the controllers of the new xbox one of my host brother William next to us and went eating dinner.

A big audience!

I was sitting in the North-Hall in a break I had. I needed this break because I had so much work to do for school. I just started playing and I did not realise anything special until I heard the voices of people talking. I figured out that there were many parents sitting in the North-Hall and waiting for a parent meeting to begin. They told me to continue playing so I just continued and I think that they quite enjoyed it!

Half a thousand!

This day was only about working. I spent like all of my time only for doing psychology and sociology stuff. Next Thursday we will have a nice psychology test about everything we did until now.

But one other exciting thing happened today, I reached half a thousand blog-pageviews! That is more than 4999!!!

Londontrip #9

This Saturday I escaped the rain at home. I went to London to visit another EF student and the weather there was just brilliant!
So this day I bought some winter-shoes. We went to Camden market to find one good shoe shop my friend already knew. And it didn't take so much time! We also went to a Victorinox shop and on the way there it began to snow! In the middle of the street... It didn't take much time to see that the snow was actually soap or something :P But we had fun with it anyways...

Ah and that's my rabbit with a bowtie by the way... Just don't even ask...

The true English horrendous weather has arrived. I was woken this morning by the sound of the heavy rain lashing against my window. Was this the new apocalypse and should we start to build our Ark soon?

Lunchtime I ventured with my towel and shorts to the swimming pool. It's a small, modest little pool frequented by the more mature members of society, especially at lunchtime when I am there.
There was a competitive element in the air amongst other users. I pushed off the side only to realise I was in some type of unknown race with the 80 year old in the lane next to me. As I swam steadily to the other side I noticed out the corner of my eye the woman in the flowery swimming-hat was gaining pace. What started of as a gentle swim became an olympic competition like Michael Phelps. I lapped her at least three times in the space of ten minutes. Her once smiling face turned into a grimace of shear effort and exhaustion to try and beat me.

Who would have thought Friday lunchtime would be so exiting?

Let the parcel (not) arrive.

This afternoon I went with a great happiness to home, because I was waiting for a parcel from my parents. But unfortunately this parcel did not arrive, this got me thinking... I really wondered why but I figured that out quickly! When I checked on the internet, I found out that my beloved parcel had a delay of two weeks. It seems that customs is overrun at this time of the year. Unbeknown to me there were some Ricola® in the package and this, they classify as medicine!

Still dizzy?

Yes, I was! Like the whole day. When I woke up this morning I went to the shower like every day, but I could barely stand because of my dizzy head. But I tried to start my day as usual and it did not really work. So I went back to sleep.
For lunch I went to Eric and Marg because Caroline went out shopping with her mum. They made a lovely vegetable flan with feta cheese and some rice-pudding with apricot jam .. Mmmmmh
In the afternoon at 4:20 I went to the doctors. They told me what to do and that a steam-bath would be perfect. So that's what I did afterwards and now I feel so much better. I also caught up a lot with schoolwork.

Landscape-Drawing and 'Gentle Worms'

This day my head was unfortunately still really dizzy. It is like if I put my head in a different angle it feels like I did not move it. So imagine walking around. Most of the time I get direction-changes with a delay of one second. Quite fun actually :P

In school, after I did all my homework, I thought of doing something creative. But I can't play all the time only the piano. So I went drawing :D

Lots of school!

Unfortunately I don't have to tell you about this day. I just had quite a lot of school. Two Sociology, Psychology, and Photography! It was also quite hard in the classes, because from time to time there are more and more foreign words to me. And I only had four years of English in school so many words are missing, but a lot of people had it for 6-8 years! So their basic voc. is way bigger!
Ok, gonna go a bit earlier to sleep today.. Night night :)

Get out your bed!

This day I slept quite long again, maybe a bit too long. Suddenly Caroline came in and asked me if I want to go with Eric and Marg to St Ives to eat lunch with them. Sure I will :D
So I went out with them at one o'clock and their daughter Tracey's husband came to pick us up. Then around three o'clock we had our lunch/dinner. It was just amazing! "Real British Food"! Yorkshire pudding and some other things I don't remember the name of....
Then I stayed until six with them and we talked and watched a film together.

At home - Day

Today I just stayed at home to get well. First I planned to go out, but then I decided different so I can sleep longer and make a comfortable day of playing the piano, doing schoolwork and reading (don't forget calling friends!)

A Piano!

Finally, the time has come when I got a piano at home! It is a Yamaha Portable-35 Series piano :D
So this afternoon I only played the piano and it was so cool! Finally time and music...
My hostmum now wants me to play for them what is not a problem at all. So I thought why not recording some evening-dinnertable jazz for you my dear Blog-Readers ;)
